"It's good to be back in A-mur-i-ca"

TO GOD BE THE GLORY !!!!! We made it home, with a little layover in ATL about 5 hours. What a humbling and eye opening experience. All and all I must say "GOD BLESSED" and HE BLESSED US ALL! I cannot put into words all I experienced over the past 8 days, but I will never forget it. I can say if you have the opportunity to go "just go man, go"! What a wonderful day when I meet those in glory whose lives were changed because each of us said "I'LL GO" and with the LORDS BLESSING we went. Thanks to all the team for working hard and getting along, it made my first trip "mo-better".

Experience of a Lifetime

The first day was an eye opening experience. It was very humbling event for myself. The people are so happy but their accommodations are terrible by our standards. The work day went extremely well. The home was the size of a 15 * 15 room. The entire family (5) are living in this space. It makes you appreciate what we have in the states. The kids are smiling from one side to the other. It puts everything into perspective.

To Karen and Kayla, I love you very much. Hope things are going well. It is great that my bud (Alex) is with me. You know he is taking care of his old DAD, that can't see well. Continue to keep us in your prays that God's will is done. How's the Buddy? Also Kayla the girls have done been making all kinds of comments about my outfits. They think its cool. Only certain men can wear plaid shorts and a salmon colored t-shirt. You would be proud of me. I wish you were here so we could have our picture made together.

Love ya,
Scott

chad's thoughts - part dos

como estas floyd's creekers! what can i say i am truly overwhelmed by the things i haven seen. started on the house today to see the size of the house is really amazing to see how many live in the house. the house would be the size of a master bedroom n we are doubling the the size of there house. the man of the house care for the house so much that he was sweeping the house out. realize that his floor is already  made out of mud. i can tell ya one thing that i will never take thing for granted. to see this people with smiles on there face with the way they are living truely touches me. i know what means to be filled with joy. i always thought i was full of joy but boy was i wrong, because i complain about the little things n these people don't complain about nothing. the r always  walking around with smiles. n 2 see the kids today way the warm up to the girls was something else. the lord is truley working here. if u get a chance t come i highly encrouage u to come.

honey i love u n miss u. to the kids i love u n miss u 2. colton no more eating of nickels or coins at all.

Into the mind of K-HOP!

Hola Amigos! What a special group. I just want to thank all of you who made this trip possible for me and the sacrifice my family is making. God is blessing us in so many different ways, it's sort of overwhelming. Hey Nise, Bekah, and Samuel I love and miss yall!!!! Gotta go for now, Bye!!!

Gregg's thoughts!

What a special group God has put together.  I want to praise the Lord for each team member.
The Lord has put this group together with many special talents to serve him. Alex has blessed me personally because for the first time we have a young man as part of a team from Floyd's Creek Baptist Church. We had a special time of devotion tonight where the Lord moved with testimonies that blessed my soul. Thanks to everyone back home lifting us up in pray.

Love and kisses to my family, thanks for allowing us to go.

Hey,
Got a little messed up earlier. You may get two posts from me. I have been thinking about you today. Kat and Pat, Are you being good girls??????????? I love you.
Phil, I love you. Ohhhhh ain't that sweet! I hope ya'll are having a blast.

where we will be serving.

We recently received pictures of the family and home that we will be rebuilding. God is about to prove faithful to this faithful family. Please pray they will receive God's love through our service to them.

This house is in a neighborhood of Choluteca and not very far from the church where the family has membership in Iglesia Bautista Libertad. We are building the house for Evelin Lizeth Huete. The pastor's name is Anselmo Herrera Zelaya. In the pictures you will see the front of their current house and a photo of part of the family. From left to right their names are Cesar, Evelin, Josue, and Migdalia.

The plan is to build back the part of the house that is falling down. By the time you get here it will be removed and the new foundation ready for the team to start laying blocks. We will only be building three walls attached to the rest of the house, but we will put in a concrete floor covering both the old and new parts.

THE FCBC 2009 TEAM!

Please keep our team in your prayers. We are praying for God to do great things through us while we are in Honduras! We have a team of 6 girls and 8 men going. I encourage you to pick a few team members and specifically pray for them daily.

WE LEAVE JUNE 10th, and will return to the USA on June 18th! :)
